Considering the amount of time I did it in...it actually wasn't that painful.

SNEAKER CON L.A. RECAP

SNEAKER CON made it's way to Los Angeles this past Saturday. I attended it back in March in New York just to get a sense of how the east coast sneakerheads get down. Being that it was in my hometown, I made sure I got a proper display to exhibit my work as well as do a few on the spot commissions and sell a few prints.

Happy customer with my best selling print thus far. Sold quite a few of those that day. Hmmmm...I wonder why it keeps selling?

Here's a couple of live commission pix. These were done on 11 x 14 bristol board paper with Tria Markers, Pit Brush pens, and pigment liners and acrylic paint. Excuse the photos...had to keep it moving.

I'm going to try something a lil different at the next sneaker event. But for now, this was fun.

I'm the last person interviewed, but I brought my Cintiq and my Mac and got busy live on the spot on some sneaker art for the sn'eads in attendance. Good times.

My big homie, the O.G., DJ CLARK KENT blessed me with a pair of the friends and family release of the LEBRON 8 "112"

No bullshit, I'm not saying this cuz Clark is my dude or that he hooked me up with these, but these are THE MOST FIRE RELEASE/NON-RELEASE OF 2011 THUS FAR. So with that said, it definitely KILLS all the entire Lebron 8 line.

So, anyway, for those not knowing, the reason the shoe is BLINGING YOUR EYEBALLS OUT is it has 3M Reflective material on it. So, when the flash is on, the STUNT is on! HAHA!

Once again, I can't thank DJ CLARK KENT enough for getting me these kicks.

I will cherish these muggs forever...forever ever ever...forever EVER.

SPACE JAM AIR MAX 1s

My NIKEiD's came in.

The shoe on the left are the Air Max 1 iDs I did on NIKEID.COM

The shoe on the right is the Air Jordan XI OG Space Jam (hence the non icy sole)

Ironically, BOTH shoes were designed by Tinker Hatfield.

So, I took the colorway from the Air Jordan XI and applied it to the Air Max 1 and voila...

enjoy the pix.

Again, if you're a NOT a sneakerhead, alot of these things are going to fly over your head...but that's ok. For the animation people out there, you'll recognize that I'm using the same animatic techniques (if not a lil more) that we use in production. I figured if major networks can decide whether or not to green light a show based on the strength of just an animatic, why can't I release the same quality of product without having to go the distance of making a full blown animation. When that time comes, you'll know that a MAJOR check has been cut. Until then, this is all for the love and it's good storytelling practice...cuz god knows ALOT of us need it.
