But, to give you a glimpse - I'm that kid that grew up in Inglewood, CA who was quirky enough to be fascinated by cartoons, Michael Jackson, Prince, Mort Drucker, Michael Jordan, Spike Lee, Woody Allen, John Hughes, Andrew Loomis, RAPHAEL, Rick Baker, Caglione and Drexler, Fangoria, Dr. Dre and HIP HOP all at the same time.

Dude both are great! The bald guy almost looks photo real, great job on the glasses. I like the lighting effect on the hat guy.
If that 's rust what da f would happen when u shake dat ish loose might have to duck and run 4 cover cause the art could blow u away!!!
thanks ya'll...and yes, rust wouldn't be so much of a factor if i wasn't swamped with work. Nevertheless, I just gotta get stronger..f'it.
Rod: use overlay mode on a seperate layer for stuff like glasses. You wanna know what's really funny? I spent less time on the old man than i did on the guy with the hat. the guy with the hat was my warmup...first sketch of the night. I worked on that (embarrassingly) for about an hour. That old man...20 minutes. it just always tripped me out how if you can get a few values and temperatures with solid drawing of course, that, voila, you're on your way to something more representative of photo realism...even tho that's not what i want in my personal stuff :)

sorry to answer here...but, don't wanna take up your blogspot with chatter.
I'm climbing the same hill I've been climbing since January...and trying to move mountains for the summer.
Just keep June 9th in your head for now and I'll keep you posted on da rest.

ree, i second everything said here. The old guy has the feel of a pixar joint,, like geris game. I think its the light.. they love that ambient daylight. It works for them and it sure works for you..

i dont see any rust, as that bottom piece is amazing, swell work my friend, swell work.
