Runners On The Same Planet...But, From 2 Different Worlds

First memory sketch. I saw these two running yesterday. Different styles for two simple reasons - character and attitude.

The dude on the left, THE GAZELLE, was (I kid you not) running in his sox!! And FOOTSIES at that! The guy on the right was literally SASQUATCH incarnate. Wild thick salt and pepper hair, grungy beard, thick hairy legs, AND had the nerve to have an iPOD stuck in his ears.

I musta died laughing for a good five-ten minutes. I didn't get a chance to draw them until today. I might ink 'em up, color 'em, and throw 'em in the folio later. But, I must say, it was nice picking up the pencil again. Been WACing off a bit too much lately.

Learning Thru my Mistakes.

I need to get my desktop monitor calibrated. I sketched these on my laptop. Brought it to the desktop...TOTALLY different. Whatever. Just free flowing composition again. Lots to learn...STILL.

Yuko

Hadn't been to Diana Coco's Disney Gesture Drawing workshop in like 2 months. YUKO, tonights' model wears traditional japanese and korean garments. Ironically she was there on my last hiatus. I had her sign some of my drawings cuz I thought it would look cool. I did these str8 up with my favorite sword, a Faber-Castell PITT brush pen.

People Watcher

I attended a screening of "Freestyle: The Art of Rhyme". I had the sketchbook with me so, I started snappin' on a few folks...and they weren't posing for me either.
