KOBE sketch

Warmup sketch before I start my freelance.
I learned some new caricature techniques that kinda flipped a light switch on.
But what's funny is I saw them about 2 months ago.
Then forgot about em.
Then saw something that made think about em today.
Then got home and just randomly started doing it.
Then realized where I got the technique from.
It was that, "ohhhhhh...that's how it works" moments.

I'll try to push even further next time.

Kristian - thanks man. the technique lends itself to REALLY working from the ground up...but in a way most really wouldn't do or think of. I'm going to do it again! :)

MJ - Thank you. I wish I could post more often. I think forget which density I'm using, but the holder is a Staedtler Mars Technico. I used the 2H Tombo to punch up some blacks. I really didn't want to take it to this level actually...since I just did the sketch while eating dinner....but if you look closely at that dark spot on Kobe's lip by the 2H pencil...that's actually a grease spot from my CHICKEN. LOL.
The grease spot was there and then i had to take the values up a notch to MATCH it. lol.
