INDIA-I-REE

I'm off INDIA today.
Why?
Well, during the day, I'm the Supervising Director/Director on a forthcoming 3D Animated series entitled, "DA JAMMIES." Can I also be on record to say that it's the first 3D animated hip hop series that will see light(side-eye)?

It's being produced by FARCOR STUDIOS which is a partnership between television producer/writer extraordinaire, Ralph Farquhar (The Proud Family, Moesha, The Parkers, Married With Children) and Dwayne Corbitt (Business Mogul). It was created by the ever talented DOLLA and NOVELIST and it'll be coming to a television near you real soon.

WE might wanna finish it first, so...First things first. We're in the midst of the production and its customary for Directors and Producers to visit overseas studios, monitor progress, engage the crew (especially the animators) on my vision for the show and just get our GRIZZLY on. Trust me...face to face says a whole lot more than storyboards, animatics, and Excel documents.

And, of course I can't work all day (even though at home it feels like I do) but, I'll be bringing along a sketchbook and watercolors dedicated solely for the trip. Might even take a snapshot or two with the handheld.
:)

Anywho, if I can blog while I'm there...why not? ... but, if I can't... see you all when I get back in a few weeks.

I leave you with a rejected piece of development for yet another project I'm working on the side on.

EDIT: PIECE REMOVED. Told ya so!

BLOKHEDZ and things...

I am pleased to announce that I'm lending my storyboard/animatic/hip hop animation guile to the forthcoming, BLOKHEDZ animated project. Below is a mirrored post from BLOKHEDZ.TV

It’s on like Robotron my Don! It’s been a long time coming but we are finally doing it up lovely. Word bond kid, ImajiMation Studios is working with Korea-based Digital eMation on a Blokhedz episodic experience featuring the voice talents of Talib Kweli, Lauren London, RZA and other talented cats and kittens. We’ve dispatched some of our crew to Seoul to hustle up a few episodes for Gatorade’s new web venture, missiong.com,which got that hit. The Mission G ad ran during the Superbowl and they’ve finally allowed us to lift the veil of silence on what we’ve been up to at the studio. More details will follow, trust us on that one, but for now, goto http://missiong.com/show/Blokhedz and watch the trailer!

Meanwhile, I want to give a shout out to ERIC ELDER and for inviting me to speak on the panel earlier today at the PAN AFRICAN FILM FESTIVAL. Here's an excerpt from the program:
