BLOKHEDZ and things...

I am pleased to announce that I'm lending my storyboard/animatic/hip hop animation guile to the forthcoming, BLOKHEDZ animated project. Below is a mirrored post from BLOKHEDZ.TV

It’s on like Robotron my Don! It’s been a long time coming but we are finally doing it up lovely. Word bond kid, ImajiMation Studios is working with Korea-based Digital eMation on a Blokhedz episodic experience featuring the voice talents of Talib Kweli, Lauren London, RZA and other talented cats and kittens. We’ve dispatched some of our crew to Seoul to hustle up a few episodes for Gatorade’s new web venture, missiong.com,which got that hit. The Mission G ad ran during the Superbowl and they’ve finally allowed us to lift the veil of silence on what we’ve been up to at the studio. More details will follow, trust us on that one, but for now, goto http://missiong.com/show/Blokhedz and watch the trailer!

Meanwhile, I want to give a shout out to ERIC ELDER and for inviting me to speak on the panel earlier today at the PAN AFRICAN FILM FESTIVAL. Here's an excerpt from the program:

12:00pm – 2:00pm

This panel will examine the current state of blacks in animation and of black animated content. This year we will see the first black Disney princess and BET has announced “The Black Panther” animated series. Is this the time that we will finally see an explosion of black-themed animated content?

Moderator:
Eric Elder (CEO OW! (Online Worlds) Entertainment)

Panelists:
-Brandon Schultz (CEO Imajimation)
-Tyree Dillihay (Animation Director)
-Kwesi Davis (Technical Director, DreamWorks Animation)
-Lynne Sutherland (Producer)

Thanks to everybody that came out. I hope it was inspiring and I WANT TO SEE YOUR FILMS! :)

wow your new show looks like it's going to be really good. I really liked the effect of the painted arrows stabbing through the minions. You gotta inject some of that hip-hop into our show...oh wait it's already happened!:
