Rod: use overlay mode on a seperate layer for stuff like glasses. You wanna know what's really funny? I spent less time on the old man than i did on the guy with the hat. the guy with the hat was my warmup...first sketch of the night. I worked on that (embarrassingly) for about an hour. That old man...20 minutes. it just always tripped me out how if you can get a few values and temperatures with solid drawing of course, that, voila, you're on your way to something more representative of photo realism...even tho that's not what i want in my personal stuff :)
